The Hartford Community Restorative Justice Center currently offers:
- Restorative Panel Training
- CoSA Training
Reparative Panel Training
- When: Monthly
- Reparative Panels create opportunities for offenders to take responsibility for their actions, and for victims to share their experiences if they wish. A panel of trained community volunteers, the offender, and the victims (if they want to participate) decide together how the offender will make amends and repair the harm.
- This training has been developed by a state-wide team of Panel coordinators to prepare volunteers to participate in the Reparative Panels. If you are interested in volunteering with the Reparative panels, this training is a prerequisite.
- Please contact the center to learn about our Restorative Panel Training: 802-291-7173 or email Bryana Michitson
CoSA Training
- When: Monthly
- CoSA volunteers works with previous offenders coming out of incarceration to support their re-entry into the community. They gather once a week to support the offender, uplift them, and hold them accountable as they rebuild their life.
- This training is a prerequisite for volunteering with the COSA program. Training events take place multiple times a month all across Vermont.
